Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory condition caused by an overactive immune system. Causes the skin cells to multiply almost 10 times faster and instead of the normal shedding process can cause the skin cells to pile on top of each other causing thick red silvery plaques on the skin. Psoriasis can be treated with topical steroid creams and systemic medications depending on the severity and location of the plaques.
